The native of Jelgava, Latvia had five points and was a +2 in the weekend sweep. On Friday, Bernhards (6’4″, 170) had two goals, including the game-winner, in a come-from-behind 4-3 win. On Saturday, he had another game-winning goal and two more assists in a 5-1 win. Bernhards leads the team in scoring this season with seven points in three games.
Great Falls Americans head coach Jeff Heimel: “Ricards is a great player and has some great size that he takes advantage of. He competes really hard and it is tough to tell he is a rookie. He stepped up to the plate this past weekend and has a ton of upside.”
