The NA3HL gives out “Season Awards” at the end of each season. The awards are given to the top performing players in each division and in the entire North American 3 Hockey League.
Ty O’Bey earns NA3HL league honors for 2023-24 season

DALLAS, TX., May 1, 2024 — The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) announced on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, their yearly awards for the 2023-24 season.
The awards were also performance-based as voted on by the head coaches and general managers from all the NA3HL clubs.
The awards included the Most Valuable Player of the NA3HL, Forward, Defenseman, and Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach and General Manager of the Year and
Organization of the Year. The league office also announced their All-NA3HL (1st, 2nd, 3rd Teams) and All-Rookie Teams (1st and 2nd Teams) along with an Academic Achievement Award, Volunteer and Community Service, Leadership and Broadcaster and Production of the Year Awards.
The Great Falls Americans, a member of the Frontier Division in the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), had one player that stood out and was honored by the league during the 2023-24 season.
Great Falls Americans forward Ty O’Bey was one of six players chosen on the 2023-24 All-NA3HL Rookie First Team for his success on the ice as a first year player. O’Bey, a native of Ashland, Wisconsin, scored 30 goals and dished out 24 assists in 47 games along with two games as a member of Team Gold at the 2024 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in March 2024.
“Ty had a great rookie season,” said Great Falls Americans Head Coach and General Manager, Greg Sears. “This honor is very deserving. Ty has a bright future in the game.”
Other notable players from the Frontier Division honored included the Gillette (WY) Wild’s Adam Severson (Most Valuable Player, Forward of the Year, All-NA3HL First Team, and All-Frontier Division Team), Will Sexton (All-NA3HL Rookie First Team) and Isaac Young (All Frontier Division Team and All- NA3HL Second Team). Helena Bighorns standouts Dylan Cunningham (All-NA3HL First Team and All- Frontier First Team), Braden Cunningham (All-NA3HL First Team), and Patrick Crooks and Jesse Schindel (All-Frontier Division Team). Helena forward Gavin Barr made the All-NA3HLRookie First Team. Mac Billings and Tanner Freed of the Sheridan (WY) Hawks earned All-NA3HL Third Team honors.
Freed was also selected to the All-NA3HL Rookie First Team and Billings was the only Hawk player that made the All-Frontier Division Team.
The NA3HL National Champion, Helena Bighorns were named the NA3HL Organization of the Year and General Manager, Mike Greene was named the General Manager of the Year in the NA3HL.
