Lucas Lomax scored a pair of goals and Evan Hauser kept the net clean for over 55 minutes Saturday night as the Great Falls Americans rebounded from their first loss of the season to grab a 4-2 victory over the Helena Bighorns in a wild NA3HL Frontier Division matchup.
Robert Kalata and Dylan Garton also had first period goals for the Americans (13-1-0), while Zack Mese and Michael Kliment had two assists each.
Hauser got the win in net, savung 28 of the 30 shots he faced and keeping a clean sheet until Jay Forbes got the Bighorns (8-3-0) on the board with just under 3½ minutes left in the game. Georgy Ostapchuk added a second goal with less than two minutes left.
The Americans travel for a single game in Billings Friday night, then return home Saturday to face the Bozeman Ice Dogs at 7:30 at the IcePlex.
