GREAT FALLS, Mont., August 22, 2023 — The Great Falls Ice Plex, home of the Great Falls Americans, has recently upgraded the locker room for the Americans and the project is finally complete. Officials with the Great Falls Ice Plex will be having a ribbon cutting and giving a tour of the new renovated locker room on Friday, September 8th at 4:00PM before the Great Falls Americans challenge the Yellowstone (WY) Quake for their 2023-24 home opener at 7:00PM. Tickets for the Americans game are $10.00 each and will be available at the door.

Also, refreshments and snacks will be offered from 4:30PM until 6:00PM in the new Off-Ice Skills Center. A raffle and prizes will be available for those fans attending.

“The players and staff are excited to get the season started after what will be a productive two weeks of camp and practice,” said Great Falls Americans owner Matthew Leaf, who will begin his first season as the Owner and President of the Great Falls Americans. “It will be great to share the new facilities with the community and their fans!

Great Falls’ only ice facility opened in November 2008 with a seating capacity of 1,500. The Great Falls Americans are set to begin their 13th season of junior hockey in Great Falls on September 8, 2023. The original locker rooms have never undergone a renovation since they were brought back for their inaugural season during the 2011-12 season. The small, unheated locker room was only meant to be temporary.

Greg Sears, the Americans Head Coach and General Manager was excited about the new project as well. “It’s an exciting start to a new brand of Americans hockey. With the addition of the skills center and the locker room, our players will have one of the best set ups in the (NA3HL) league.”

Fans are encouraged to stop by P. Gibson’s Sports Grill & Casino (1600 Fox Farm Road) in Great Falls after the game to celebrate with the team.
