Frontier Division Stars of the Week:
Jackson Henningsgard, Forward, GF Americans
Henningsgard was at his playmaking best last week, nabbing a goal and six helpers in three games. His strongest performance came in the first game of the week; after notching three assists for a second consecutive contest, the native of Amery, WI lit the lamp in overtime to seal Great Falls’ win over Bozeman on Wednesday. From there, Henningsgard posted two assists on Friday, and closed out the week with another helper on Saturday. The 2002-born rookie is up to 7g-15a—22pts in 21 NA3HL contests this season.

Bryson Fletcher, Forward, GF Americans
Fletcher has been instrumental in the Americans’ charge towards the top of the Frontier Division lately, picking up 5g-6a—11pts in four consecutive multi-point games this week. The Californian ended 2020 with a pair of goals and an assist in a New Year’s Eve win over Butte, then welcomed 2021 with another three points against Missoula. After chipping in another two assists on Saturday, Fletcher posted another 2g, 1a effort on Monday to close out a remarkable week. Fletcher enters the new week on a six-game point streak (5g-9a—14pts) and boasts 10g-19a—29pts on the year.

Mellen was on his game from the first drop of the puck this week, recording 66 saves on 70 shots for a .943 save percentage and, most importantly, two wins to keep his perfect 6-0-0 start to the season intact. Mellen shone brightest on Friday night with his first shutout of the season — a 35-save effort against Gillette — and followed up with another steady showing between the pipes as he turned aside 31 pucks in another win over the Wild. In addition to his unblemished win/loss record, Mellen now boasts a 1.92 GAA and .937 save percentage on the year, both of which lead all NA3HL goaltenders with at least four starts.
